The local partner is a Dutch-Hungarian organization aiming at creating a cultural space and artist residence while preserving the cultural heritage of the area.
The work will include setting up and deconstructing the festival venue and assisting the event organizers. Typical tasks would be preparing the decoration and creating orientation signs, helping in the kitchen, carrying out gardening and wood-working tasks or welcoming visitors at the info-point. The volunteers will also have a chance to share their own creative ideas and contribute to the programme of the festival.
Logement & Nourriture
The volunteers will be accommodated on a campsite, equipped with all the necessary facilities, and will receive meals 3 times a day.
Emplacement & Temps libre
Bedepuszta is located in a valley at the end of a dead-end road, at the green slopes of the Cserhát hills. One valley to the east the village of Kisbárkány can be found, in all other directions, there are no settlements for many miles. The extraordinary village of Hollókő (Unesco World Heritage) is only an 8-kilometer walk from Bedepuszta.
No specific requirements
This project is a volunteering team, supported by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union. Compared to the usual workcamp participation scheme, some main financial and administrative differences must be underlined: - The participation to the ESC volunteering teams is subjects to several principles and conditions, presented on the ESC webpage: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity/mission_en - The volunteers will receive pocket money, calculated on basis of 5€/day, once they arrive on the project in Hungary - The volunteers will receive a financial support for their travel, according to a maximum amount established in accordance with their travel distance (up to 275€) - The volunteers need to register on the European Solidarity Corps Portal: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en - The volunteers will have to complete a participation report, submitted online by the ESC portal The participation to the Volunteering teams is limited to participants from EU member and partner countries, as well as partner countries neighbouring the EU: the Russian Federation, the western Balkans, the Eastern partnership and the south Mediterranean countries.
