Ponta de Ouro is one of the best touristic destinations of the Southern Part of Mozambique. It is located 90 km away from Maputo and is part of the District of Matutuine. Matutuine possesses a diverse biodiversity. Ponta de Ouro is also bordering with the South African Province of Kwazulu Natal.
The workcamp participation fee is strictly US$250 and this covers simple accommodation, food and project expenses during the camp. Please note that this does not include travel expenses to and from the camp, so participants are asked to reserve a small amount of money for transport to the camp and vice-verse. Participants should arrive at least two days before the camp starts for orientation. It is also important to note that project locations may change due to several reasons some within (too few application, massive cancellations or community failing to make its contribution to the project’) and without our control (political instability, natural disasters). All volunteers who want to participate in this project will be invited to attend the preparation session (le week-end de préparation au départ) organised by Solidarités Jeunesses before their departure
