Facility for the mentally disabled people “you-en” is located rural area but very close to central area. There are Japanese old styles houses and beautiful land scape. Mentally disabled people (ex. cannot go to school or work, social withdrawal etc.) can adjust daily rhythm and find their own skills in “you-en”. For example, they make herbs and vegetables in the garden and make accessories, miscellaneous goods, antique furniture etc. in the facility. They do not have enough opportunity to communicate with various people (Foreigners etc.). Volunteers are excepted to consider their feelings and do activities together. It makes their feelings proactive and positive!
