Description

VỤN Arts’ main productline consists of fabric collages inspired by folk paintings, but they also produce t-shirts, tote bags, wallets, etc. and turn them into works of art. 

Key Program Areas :

-Providing sustainable job opportunities for people with disabilities, 

-Vocational training for people with disabilities,

-Running a workshop series: Assemble folk paintings from recycled products, 

-Offering tours to visit Vạn Phúc Village,

-Introducing Vietnam’s folk culture, Vạn Phúc Village’s traditional silk products, and the talents of members of VỤN Art to the participants, 

-Recycling of leftover silk and creation of sustainable products.

PARTENAIRE

VỤN Art is a social enterprise located in the Vạn Phúc village (Hanoi) which was founded in 2017. The company is run by people with disabilities because the vision of founder Le Viet Cuong, who is disabled himself, is to provide sustainable jobs for them. Therefore he created a social enterprise specialized in designing and producing craft products made by Vạn Phúc silk, which is a traditional material and the unique selling point of VỤN Art. The silk used is the leftover from silk factories all around the silk village which makes their products also environmentally friendly upcycling projects.

Remarques

Volunteers should : 

-Have experience in video production (content research skills, planning/scripting, shooting a video, editing skills, etc.) 

-Have experience in content creation on popular social media platforms if possible 

-Be interest in social media related topics in general 

-Be creative, friendly and communicative 

-Have excellent written and spoken English 

-Be proactive and open minded

The minimum duration is 2 weeks and the amount of the participation fee is 400€ for 2 weeks. Each additional week is 100€ more. 

Travail

Interns and volunteers are needed to help with some of the tasks below (not necessarily all of the tasks):

-Research: market, audience, competition... (overseas market), 

-Edit English translation content for Youtube videos & some other reporting documents if necessary, 

-Brainstorm content ideas for Facebook & Instagram, 

-Support & participate in scripting & video recording on Tiktok, 

-Teach the staff English.

Working Hours : Morning: 9:00 - 12:00 Afternoon: 14:00 -16:00

Logement & nourriture

Volunteers will stay in a shared house/apartment for the volunteers. They will share their meals and the food will be provided by the hosting organisation.

The project is about 1 hour by bus from the accommodation. The volunteers will need to pay the local transportation by themselves.

Emplacement & temps libre

Volunteers are free on week-ends wan they can travel and explore Vietnam alone or together with the other volunteers.
