Volunteers will be engaged will assist in renovation and painting of school classrooms; drawing symbols/letters that will simplify reading and learning for early childhood education classes; establishment of garbage disposal sites including trash bins in the classes and provide education on how to separate and dispose garbage; organizing extra-curricular activities to the kids and teenagers (7-17 years old) after school hours. This could be sports, games, English Language, arts, crafts and remedial classes, (depending on volunteers’ interest and skills).
Logement & nourriture
Volunteers are expected to help in meals preparation, dish washing and kitchen cleaning. Vegetarian meals will be available. Volunteers with complicated diets should consult us before arriving in the project. Volunteers will be accommodated in a modern family house with two floors, five bedrooms, kitchen, and showers. Electricity and running water will be available and easily accessible.

The word "Marangu" means a place with too many water streams. It is one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Masai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Majority of residents are farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. Tourism is also part of activity that contribute to the economy of Marangu. Marangu is located about 40km east of Moshi town the capital of Kilimanjaro, it is accessible by both private and public transport. Social services including markets, shops, banks, hospitals are available in the community.
