EMMAUS Catanzaro Community for the reception of men with social and economic hardship based in Satriano (CZ) in self-management and self-financing through the recovery of second-hand goods and the Mercatino Solidale (Solidarity Market) and through the EMMAUS Catanzaro Centre, with social secretariat functions and support for families in difficulty.

Informations supplémentaires

Since people with addiction problems may be present in the community, it is forbidden to introduce and/or consume alcohol and/or other types of substances. Volunteers are required to have an interest in the Emmaus themes of social inclusion, non-violence, and commitment to international solidarity.For safety reasons, the wearing of heavy work shoes, preferably safety shoes, is mandatory during work activities. Glowes are also required.EXTRA FEE - volunteers are expected to pay an extra-fee, needed to cover part of their board and lodging at the camp site. The payment of 50 Eur is to be made in cash at arrival

Remarques

Volunteers should be interested in charity activities. The use of alcohol and psychotropic substances is prohibited

Travail

Volunteers will collaborate in all Emmaus activities in Satriano, from recovering materials by going to people s homes, sorting and small fixing, to selling at markets. They will also support the promotion of Emmaus and external external awareness-raising initiatives. The community dedicates approximately 35/40 hours per week to the activity, Wednesdays and Sundays are off.

Logement & nourriture vegetarian

Volunteers will be housed on the ground floor of the community in rooms with bunk beds. They will have two bathrooms and live community life with the community members including meals in the community canteen.

Emplacement & temps libre

In their free time, volunteers can visit both seaside and mountain areas in the nearby and can visit the archaeological area of Scholacium
