1. Education Support: Teaching English, basic computer skills, and coding to children and teenagers to enhance their academic and professional opportunities.
2. Environmental Activities: Organizing and participating in community cleaning campaigns, leading workshops on trash management, and assisting with recycling projects. Volunteers may also join efforts to protect rainforests and wildlife alongside the local community.
3. Community Development: Supporting emergency relief efforts, such as distributing food, building houses and toilets, or assisting with community farm projects.
4. Sports and Recreation: Leading sports and physical education sessions to help children build teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness.
These opportunities allow volunteers to make a lasting impact while connecting deeply with the local community.
Logement & nourriture
Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared house with host family, equipped with essential amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Each volunteer will be provided with a mattress, pillow, blanket, and mosquito net for restful sleep. The house also includes access to shower and toilet facilities for personal hygiene. Meals will be prepared by a local chef, with volunteers expected to assist with tasks such as serving, cleaning, and washing dishes. An optional opportunity is available for those who wish to join the cooking team and learn local culinary skills.
Emplacement & temps libre
During their free time and weekends, volunteers at DCC can enjoy exploring the unique attractions of Battambang. They can visit ancient temples like Wat Ek Phnom or Phnom Banan, offering a glimpse into Cambodia’s history, or take a ride on the famous Bamboo Train for a fun and scenic experience through the countryside. For those who love nature, cycling tours through the lush rice fields and local villages are a great way to take in the beauty of the area. After a day of exploring, volunteers can relax at local cafes, try traditional Cambodian dishes like fish amok or beef lok lak, and spend quality time with fellow volunteers. These activities provide a perfect mix of culture, adventure, and relaxation.
