The Society for Youth Facilities (Gesellschaft für Jugendeinrichtungen e.V.) has been running youth guesthouses on the North Sea and Baltic Sea since 1959. Under the brand "Leisure and Education by the Sea" (Freizeit und Bildung am Meer) the non-profit association pursues its educational mission in a very special way - because with the individually tailored programmes, young people and anyone else interested learn about the nature, culture and history of Schleswig-Holstein. The Noer youth campsite is located directly on the Baltic Sea beach and is mainly used by youth groups and for school trips. The Schloss Noer youth guesthouse is mainly used by choirs and orchestras, but also by families and youth groups. The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education.
