Uganda Pioneers´ Association (UPA) is an indigenous youth voluntary Non-Government Organization (NGO) registered with the National NGO Bureau in Uganda, under No. S5914/114. The organization focuses on offering youths with the opportunity to contribute to community development by involving them in community projects through workcamps and international volunteer exchanges. The organisation is Not-for-Profit and does not represent any political, religious or sectarian motives.

UPA organizes one of our staff or volunteers to pickup volunteers from the airport in Entebbe or at any bus station in Kampala. (The volunteer or staff will hold a printed out A4 paper with the name Uganda Pioneers Association and the Name of the expected Volunteer. To receive this service you need to confirm your arrival details including flight name, number, arrival day, date and time with UPA and your sending Organisation.

Remarques

Visa The volunteers must apply for a tourist visa online with this link. https://www.visas.immigration.go.ug/ . This should be done a couple of weeks or months before the departure date. The form requires you to fill in the address of the contact person in Uganda and you should use: ZZIWA SAMUEL MUSANYUSA, NANSANA WEST I ZONE, +256785601220. The immigration department sends you an approval document which you must print and present on arrival at the airport. The tourist visa costs 50 US $ and it’s paid during the visa application process on the immigration portal using selected pay cards.

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing individual tutoring, and creating a st imulating learning environment. • TSAS Mentorship: Guide students in their chosen sports or vocational skills, Fostering their talents and providing valuable career guidance. • Extracurricular Activities: Lead exciting clubs and activities, such as art, music, drama, and sports teams. • Community Outreach: Participate in community projects that benefit the School and the surrounding community.

Logement & nourriture vegetarian

Accommodation Volunteers has the possibility to choose between staying in the guesthouse, with different international volunteers (sharing room, normally 2-4 people) or to stay in a host family. Accommodation is at the UPA Guesthouse, average but not luxury. Food Volunteers prepare their own food. UPA provides gas cooker, a fridge, and utensils. Alternatively, a volunteer can stay with a host family to be more exposed to the Ugandan culture.

Emplacement & temps libre

LOCATION Located in Kiteezi kasangati Town Gayaza. LEISURE, The Volunteer may use leisure time to visit some sites around the city which include, Kasubi Tombs, Bahai and Hindu Temples, Uganda Martyrs shrines, local markets, craft shops, Ndere centre, Uganda Museum, Monument sites, Uganda Parliament, factories and other explorations.
