We have collaborated with Astra Foundation to place some volunteers to support the students and the
locals. The schools are SDN 1 Merbau, SDN 2 Merbau, SDN 4 Merbau, SDN Triharjo, SDN 1 Kertosari, SDN 2 Kertosari,
SDN 3 Kertosari, SDN 1 Wonodadi and SMP 1 Tanjungsari. The schools are located in South Sumatra Regency and it
is 50 km away from Lampung International airport

No piercing on face, no visible tattoo, common hair style (no colorful, dreadlock) and never
found guilty in a criminal case in home country or in another country. The volunteer should love to work with
children, teenagers, open minded, be mature, respectful of local customs, tolerant, creative, flexible and sign the
agreement. Pay extra fee partially for every visa extension at local immigration office if stay offer 8 weeks. Intake
condition and restriction: No intake on Fridays and during Ramadhan; arrival should be on MONDAY; no pick up
during weekend; pick-up between 08.00 AM to 09.00 PM, no pick up after 09.00 PM. Volunteer should hold Visa
(Social Visit Visa type 211) before entering Indonesia.
Health issues: The Government of the Republic of Indonesia implemented new health procedures aimed at screening
international arrivals for entry into their territory. These protocols include requiring every entrant to submit to
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests to identify those who are infected with the coronavirus even without externally
apparent symptoms. The protocols also require everybody to agree to be quarantined in government facilities. The
participant should cover all the cost associated with the quarantine. If the entrant is in possession of a certificate proving
that he/she is free from COVID-19 and he/she has never been infected, they will be able to enter the country and just
impose self-quarantine at the place where he is staying. Travelers will be interviewed and may be subject to additional
checkups at the point of entry. Please contact Dejavato staff for the update information regarding the entry regulation
Participant Fee: 340 € or IDR 5.780.000/month (additional cost per week 70 Euro/week/person or IDR 1.190.000)
The role of the volunteer will be assisting local teacher in holding English subject as foreign language.
Moreover, the presence of volunteers could give them motivation in practicing their foreign laguage knowledge.
Intercultural learning in the form of dialogue, music and games could give the student better understanding to learn
about another culture from other country.
The accommodation and food will be provided by host project. The volunteer will stay at local host
family or dormitory (to be confirmed). Facilities are simple and Indonesian style (no hot water, no washing machine).
During free time, the volunteers will have the chance to visit and explore culture and tourism spot in
Sumatra.
