The project aims to provide an immersive experience in the Cilento area, exploring the region's cultural values and beauty. The main focus is constructing the Conchiglia di Venere (Venus Shell), a wooden traveling structure designed to amplify sound naturally without electricity, following ancient Roman techniques. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: SustainableCommunities-SDG11 and LifeOnLand-SDG15.
Logement & nourriture
Volunteers will be accommodated in a simple house in the historic center of Casaletto Spartano. It has four rooms with single and double beds (pillows, sheets, and blankets provided, but no towels), three bathrooms (two with showers), a basic kitchen, and a small dining area.The house, offered by a private individual, supports the project's success. Participants will help choose daily groceries based on local availability and budget.

Casaletto Spartano, in Salerno province, lies within the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At 400m altitude with 1,200 residents, it consists of Casaletto and Battaglia, home to the 16th-century Gallotti Palace. Fortino, a historic hamlet, was a key passage for Carlo Pisacane and Giuseppe Garibaldi. The area boasts the Venus Hair waterfall, rich in biodiversity, freshwater springs, and unexplored karst caves. Hiking trails include Sentiero delle Rocche, leading to the Madonna dei Martiri Sanctuary, and the Otter Valley path, part of the Cammino di San Nilo
