Rehobothi day care is social facilities that care for children in groups. Many parents choose center-based care like Rehobothi because they believe the presence of multiple caregivers, larger groups of children, and state inspections that make them both safer and more dependable. Some parents also consider these types of centers to be a better learning environment for their children. Rehoboth day- care Center is a registered entity aiming to ensure that children receive a good quality childhood care, education and gains the skills and knowledge they need to thrive achieve promising future. The project is focusing on the children from the age of two years to six years of age on which this particular age of a child is considered the most vulnerable and crucial stage of a person's life where this program often focuses on guiding children to learn through play and other creative methods.

Volunteers will be picked up arrival in any of these places: (Dar es Salaam International airport, Dar es Salaam main railway station, Dar es Salaam Sea Port and any accommodation facility within Dar es Salaam city center.

Remarques

 Volunteer is expected to be motivated with interest to work with children, Open minded and ready to be challenged; Interested in other cultures and local realities.  Volunteer is expected to be patient and committed; creative and easy to adopt to the situations.  Minimum duration to participate on medium-term voluntary service is four weeks and maximum twelve weeks.  Medium term voluntary service requires volunteers to have Ordinary visa category A6. You can consult Tanzania Immigration website on application procedures. UVIKIUTA will provide invitation letter and other supporting documents.  This project will be starting every first Monday of a month for smooth preparation of volunteers’ welcoming and training/orientation arrangements.  Project information sheet: Will be forwarded to you once placement is confirmed with participation conditions, volunteer’s code of conduct and participation agreement.

Travail

Potential volunteer on this project is expected to assist in the following tasks. a. Basic Childcare: Monitoring children to ensure they remain safe as they go about their activities. b. Play time: Assist with age-appropriate activities such as helping toddlers and pre-schoolers with arts and crafts, reading, writing, dancing, singing and playing games. c. Clean-up and maintenance: To assist in ensuring that all equipment’s are safe, clean and in good working order, and to report problems to supervisors or head of the Centre.

Logement & nourriture vegetarian

 Food: Food be provided at the project accommodation. Type of food will depend on what is available in the region for sustainability. However vegetarian meals will always be available. Volunteers are expected to participate in preparation of meals with their host.  Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the host family within the community where basic accommodation facilities will be provided. Expect to share room with either host family member or other volunteer from the same or other projects.

Chamazi is a community located about 25km South of Dar es Salaam city and almost the same distance from Julius Nyerere International airport, Dar es Salaam. Social services are available including telecommunications, shopping centers, banking facilities, recreation sites, etc. All this makes the community attractive to live for people who are commuting to Dar es salaam city Centre for work every day. The community is accessible by public and private transport systems. Chamazi is a home of good number of health and education institutions. Weekends and public holidays are free for volunteers. For volunteers engaging for a period of one year, they will also have full holiday of thirty days. However, volunteer has freedom to choose what they would like to do with their holidays. Project leader and host family members will be always there to provide any kind of support needed to organize leisure activities.
