Emplacement & temps libre
Location: The project will take place in Horni Mala Upa and its surroundings. Since the area is mainly used for recreation and is located close to the border with Poland, there are not many services in comparison with the cities. There are several restaurants, an information centre, a post office, and an ATM, but there is no grocery store, the nearest pharmacy is in Svoboda nad Upou (18 km) and a hospital is in Trutnov (28 km). During the project, however, as part of the informal education, we will be in the city at least every other day.
Leisure time: There are many possibilities for trips such as trips in the Krkonose Mountains (Snezka, Labska Bouda, Pancavsky waterfall), a treetop trail in the Krkonose Mountains, a trip to the ZOO in Dvur Kralove nad Labem, Trutnov swimming pool, games and discussions with environmental topics, visits to Krkonose museums, learning about traditional Krkonose crafts, a visit to the KRNAP environmental centre etc.
