PARTENAIRE

ProjectFor the last 15 years, EstYES in cooperation with the sport club Lukas Basket has been running activity camps for local and international young people in the picturesque little village of Nova in the North-West of Estonia. Every year around 150 youngsters enjoy dynamic program of this camp which offers various sport-like activities as well as some voluntary work for local community. The project venue, connected to local primary school and its sport hall, has a large ground (3 ha) with wooden huts, where participants are accommodated, cantina, washing facilities and toilets, sauna, garden and a lot of sport facilities (trampolines, bikes, nets for volleyball, table tennis sets, etc.) The camps season begins at the end of June, but before it everything has to be well prepared. To make this big work done we invite ESC volunteers to help us out. In addition to this, volunteers will contribute to local community by cleaning and tidying up public areas, park and local beach, also helping to elderly people living in Nova in some household duties (e.g. preparing firewood for heating season). Finally, volunteers are asked to help Forestry Department to plant some trees in the area.
