ITHEC has been working on youth, free time and performing arts issues for more than twenty years. In all this time we have held workshops for young people, theatre and dance festivals. But among all these activities that we have carried out with young peo-ple, the colonies that took place between 1995 and 2011 in Albarracín (Teatro en Alba-rracín, IAJ) and the Youth Initiative “La Campana de Huesca” financed by the Youth stand out. The program in Action stands out in the last years. 2012 and 2013. Since 2015, it has organized the Huesca is Legend International Youth Volunteer Camp and since 2021 Jorearte. These activities have shown us that the performing arts can be part of young people's leisure, but also their training, in addition to promoting their personal development and even their employability.

Travail

Jorearte is a performing arts festival in a rural environment that was born in 2020 in Santa Eulalia de Gállego. In the last edition it was financed by the Provincial Council of Huesca, the Hoya Region of Huesca, the Santa Eulalia City Council, the Ayerbe City Council, the Biscarrués City Council, the Agüero City Council and the Loarre City Council. Each edition has been a success and far exceeds the organization's expectations. In 2024 the fifth edition will be presented and a volunteering strategy is proposed that will focus on two different areas: 1.- Support in the organization of the Jorearte Festival, Performing Arts in nature. Pre-production of the festival: adaptation of performance spaces, logistics, signage, etc. These works will be carried out with the supervision and accompaniment of the Festival's production staff. Among the tasks to be carried out are the decoration of the spaces, adaptation of the public areas with chairs. Preparation and transfer of merchandising and dissemination material such as posters and hand programs. Festival production: Assistance to artists, welcome upon arrival of the companies, accompaniment during their stay and preparation of the catering. Loading and unloading of technical material. Surveillance of performance spaces. Information to the public, distribution of programs, sale of merchandising, access control. 2.- Staging of a show that will be part of the Festival programming. The volunteers will create and stage a show within the Festival programming. This artistic work will be led by Javier García, professor at the Municipal Theater Workshops of Huesca, actor and theater director with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. The rehearsals will take place in the space known as Corral de García. The theatrical performance will be done in Spanish. Therefore, participants must memorize the texts in this language.

Logement & nourriture vegetarian

The Casa Felisa establishment located in Santa Eulalia de Gállego is an old oil mill, re-habilitated and transformed into a cozy rural tourism home. It has double and triple rooms with bathroom. In addition, it has two living rooms and a common dining room. In recent years, Casa Felisa has run out of space to accommodate a group of 20 people, which is why since last year we also have the Casa García Artist Residency, which has been in operation since 2023. It has five bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a library, two kitchens and several common spaces. Participants must collaborate in the cleaning tasks of the common areas of the accommodations. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will take place at Casa Felisa. On days when there are excursions and during the Festival, some of the daily meals will be replaced by a picnic due to the need to travel to the town where the festival takes place, which, being itiner-ant, takes place in 5 different towns.

Emplacement & temps libre

Santa Eulalia de Gállego, a small town in the Pre-Pyrenees that has less than 150 inhabitants. An exceptional territory, known as the Kingdom of the Mallos, perfect for combining heritage, nature and art. An idyllic place, at the foot of the first Pyrenean foothills, mythical mountains for Span-ish climbing such as the imposing Mallos de Riglos. These mountains have written golden pages in the history of climbing and mountaineering in our country. Every year they attract numerous athletes fascinated by the majesty of their walls and cliffs. An isolated place, like much of the rural world. A narrow road leads to the town. A perfect place to retreat and think, to work and create, to meet and share, to reflect and plan. A perfect place to coexist, concentrate and prepare a unique Performing Arts fes-tival in natural spaces.
