CSDS believes that youth will be the key players in the cause for sustainable development. Our mission is to empower and empower young people by providing the opportunities and skills they need to become the sources of sustainable change and development in the community.
Key Program Areas
- Childcare Program includes various practice locations, such as hospitals, preschools, special education centers for children with disabilities and children with developmental disorders. The program focuses on supporting the locations in improving the quality of care and education for children, bringing joy to children, and sharing meaningful educational and cultural experiences not only with children but also with the staff and local people.
- For Educational Support Program, recognizing the importance of communication in foreign languages to students and teachers in schools, CSDS has mobilized a large number of international volunteers and interns, who are passionate about volunteering, love teaching activities and aspire to support the community in improving communication skills in foreign languages, such as English, French, etc., for students. With the aim of better foreign language skills, improving confidence and cultivating international cultures, volunteers and interns always strive to create a natural, effective and inspiring practice environment, helping students practice pronunciation and confidence in communication.
- Within the framework of NGO/ Social Enterprise Program, CSDS creates opportunities for international volunteers and interns to work at nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and social enterprises in Vietnam. This is considered a practical and meaningful experience not only for the volunteers/interns but also for NGOs and social enterprises partners and CSDS, who are increasingly trying to support the community to solve Various social issues related to education, health, environment, economics, etc.
Volunteers should :
-Have strong interest in development work
- Have excellent written and spoken English
-Be proactive and open minded
-Be friendly, creative and flexible
The minimum duration is 2 weeks and the amount of the participation fee is 400€ for 2 weeks. Each additional week is 100€ more.
Interns and volunteers are needed to help with :
-Developing and editing proposals, editing translated reports and documents, exploring information, doing research (on NGOs, youth policy, donor mapping, etc);
-Seeking new international partnership, networking, fundraising if possible...;
-Raising awareness and building support for the organisation by developing social media & marketing in general; updating and improving websites/Facebook page/Instagram;
-Getting involved in project monitoring and evaluation, site assessment or taking field trips when needed;
-Implementing project activities if relevant;
-Organising and delivering various seminars/trainings/workshops, cultural exchange events, bonding activities for Vietnamese youth/international volunteers…
-Organize summer camps for children;
-Going on field trips if needed;
-Other office work
Working hours : Working 8 hours from 8:00am to 17:00pm
Volunteers will stay in a shared house/apartment for the volunteers. They will share their meals and the food will be provided by the hosting organisation.
The project can be either within the building or in other places when needed. The volunteers will need to pay the local transportation by themselves.
Volunteers are free on week-ends wan they can travel and explore Vietnam alone or together with the other volunteers.
