Itinéraire vers le point de RDV

We will meet the group at the bus stop of Candamo at 19:00 in the first day of the camp. We will provide you information how to reach to the meeting point from Oviedo. You are free to book your travel to Oviedo by plane, train or bus as long as you keep all the travel documents with your name on it. The departure day, please do not book ticket early as there aren't so many buses to reach to Oviedo early in the morning.

Remarques

ESC volunteering Teams Project This is an ESC project, supported by the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Commission. This means that this project has a special travel grant and an economical support for the volunteers. This project is open to 18-30 year old participants from EU countries. In order to receive the travel reimbursement and the pocket money, you must join to the whole activity, collect and send us all the travel invoices and fill the report that we will send just after the project. The volunteers must be register to EU PASS and accept the offer sent by us, once they are accepted to the project.

Travail

The task of this workcamp will be helping to the recovery, improvement and signalling of the hiking path called "Senda de Los Molinos del Dele". The volunteers will be accompanied and advised by municipal staff. The main idea is recovering this old path that runs along the River Dele and converting to a touristic attraction, where several privately owned mills were located, many of them now in ruins.

Logement & nourriture vegetarian

Accommodation will be in the Municipal Multipurpose Center; It has rooms that would serve as rooms with mats on the floor. Volunteers should bring sleeping bags. It also has a kitchen for the use of the volunteers, bathrooms and a shower..

Emplacement & temps libre

Candamo is a council of the Principality of Asturias, located in the north of Spain. It limits to the east with Las Regueras, to the south with Grao, to the north with Illas, Castrillón and Soto del Barco and to the west with Pravia and Salas. It has a population of 1967 inhabitants. Its capital is the town of Grullos. This council is located within the region known as Camín Real de la Mesa, it stands out both for its La Peña cave and for its orchard, having an almost vital importance for Candamo the strawberry, the Festival of the Strawberry. Candamo is very close the the Cantabrian sea cost where the volunteers can have chance to enjoy the asturian beaches which is 40 minutes from the town. There are also lots of hiking paths and routes that the volunteers can enjoy on their free times.
