The ijgd have been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education. Travail

Highlights: Spend your summer with young people from all over the world, make new international friends, experience Frankfurt by day and night and take a trip to Cologne, improve your English skills and simply have lots of fun. The Rödermark Youth Farm offers children and teens a world of experiences and adventure on its grounds! Here, children can learn about their environment through play. They can explore natural elements and learn how to interact with them. This is exactly where you can lend a hand this year alongside other work campers. The volunteers at the Youth Farm are looking forward to meeting you and have prepared the following for you. Your main project is building a pavilion that will serve as a meeting place in the future. Here, you can learn how to erect a sturdy wooden structure. At the same time, you’ll work on the construction trailer, which urgently needs a new roof. If you make really good progress, even more exciting tasks await you. You’ll have the opportunity to renovate the children’s small playhouses or build a new rabbit hutch

Logement & nourriture

You will be staying in a hall belonging to the Rödermark Urberach Cultural and Sports Association. We will set up the room as a dormitory for you with air beds/mattresses. You cook together. You will be provided with money for shopping. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any intolerances when registering.

Emplacement & temps libre

Rödermark has excellent S-Bahn connections to Frankfurt. Frankfurt has a lot to offer, including culture, nightlife, shopping, and events. You can also visit other cities like Heidelberg and Cologne. There’s an outdoor forest pool in Dietzenbach and a beautiful beach pool in Rodgau. In Rödermark itself, there’s an indoor swimming facility. You can also visit Frankenstein Castle
