Farming and fishing remain the major source of income for the people of Barili, with its agricultural sector complemented by a vibrant livestock market which is one of the biggest of its kind in the whole province. The LGU of Barili hopes to promote social and economic development through enhanced agri-tourism productivity, well-planned infrastructure programs, good governance and sustained disaster resiliency activities for a livable and drug-free community. Project Activities: • Crops and livestock enhancement programs • Community Food Production • Veterinary outreach program (animal vaccinations) • Tree planting, coastal clean-up and other community service

• Flexible, open-minded and able to adopt the local situation. • Commitment to regular updates/reporting/monitoring through mobile, online communication. • Independent and requires less supervision. • Innovative, industrious, adventurous, and creative. ** LTV 6 months program cost is Euro 2,100. LTV 12 months is Euro 3,500. All applications should be received at least three months before the deployment. We strictly observe the quarterly deployment of LTV program during the months of February (Q1), May (Q2), September (Q3) and November(Q4) only to facilitate smooth processing of FREE Volunteers Visa to the Philippines. On special arrangement, we do accept LTV participants year round depending on the availability of the project and there is no guarantee of free volunteers’ visa during these months.

About 62 kilometers or an hour’s travel away from Cebu City is the lovely southwestern town of Barili, picture-perfect with its vast green fields and hills that roll over to kiss the sea. Nature lovers have many options to do like; mountain trekking, nature walk, etc. Island Hopping, Canyoneering and other water related activities.
