Participation fee: 3,700 pesos. Includes accommodation and some administration. The fee can be paid with a deposit and the rest on arrival at the project.
The volunteer will be involved in activities such as:
1.- School reinforcement. School accompaniment, language workshops (English),
reinforcement in homework.
2.- Formal labour insertion. Accompaniment in workshops such as marketing, bakery, confectionery, customer service and labour law.
3.- Rights and values. Reinforcement in rights, gender, environmental education, corporal expression, body language.
4.- Health and Prevention. Reinforcement in sexual and reproductive health, sexual values, hygiene and health habits.
5.- Information and communication technologies. Workshops on photography and video with a focus on denunciation and computers.
In addition, the volunteer will be supporting in common activities such as cleaning of the spaces,
in the kitchen area, since a daily snack is offered to the beneficiaries, team meetings, evaluation and planning processes and in those activities that are required.
HOURS: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The headquarters are located about 10
minutes from the volunteer house
Volunteers will be provided with accommodation with basic services (water, electricity, gas), as well as the necessary facilities to prepare their meals.Meals are NOT included in the participation fee. Vegetarian option is available. In each volunteers prepare their own meals and organise themselves or with other volunteers. Sometimes they can be may be invited to someone's home or to a local restaurant.
The accommodation is basic: Shared rooms in the VIVA volunteer house.
The volunteers will be able to discover the region during the time off.
